Serengeti Nationalpark, Seronera

From Arusha to the Serengeti National Park, Seronera

This morning we will be picked up in safari vehicles and leave Arusha early. We drive directly into the Serengeti National Park. In the afternoon we reach our camp in the Seronera region, in the heart of the Serengeti. The camp is located in an impressive landscape with rich wildlife. In the evening we enjoy, with a cool drink, the sounds and the atmosphere of the wilderness right in front of our Meru style tent.

Kruger Nationalpark

Serengeti National Park, Seronera, whole day game drive

We get up early and spend a whole day on a safari in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is famous for its enormous animal density and we keep an eye out all day long for the animals that are at home here.

Ngorongoro Krater Tierwelt

From the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater and further to Karatu

In the morning we drive towards Ngorongoro Crater. Arrived in the Conservation Area, we go down to the crater floor, where we search the plains for wildlife. After the exploration, we leave the crater and drive the short distance further to Karatu, where we spend the night.

Mto wa Mbu Market im Dorf Mto

From Karatu to Moshi, with stop at the Mto wa Mbu Market

After the departure from Karatu, we visit the Mto wa Mbu Market in the village Mto wa Mbu. The region is known for agriculture, among other things rice and the typical red bananas. The place is located on the main road that connects Serengeti and the Ngorongoro area with Arusha. Today's drive offers varied landscapes, from fertile highlands and coffee plantations around Karatu to open savannas and small villages to the green foothills around Moshi. You relax in the evening, with a view of Kilimanjaro, when the weather cooperates, and with anticipation for the next section of the journey.

Bagamoyo Tansania

From Arusha to Bagamoyo

Early in the morning we set off and drive towards the coast to Bagamoyo, our accommodation for the night. Today's day is mainly a travel day, along the way you get many impressions of everyday life along one of the most important routes in East Africa. In the evening we prepare ourselves for the Zanzibar adventure that begins tomorrow.

Sansibar Küste

From Bagamoyo via Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar, beach resort on the east coast

We leave Bagamoyo and drive to Dar es Salaam to the ferry port. With the ferry we cross over to Zanzibar. After the arrival we drive to the east coast of the island, where we spend the next two nights in a beach resort. Relax by the sea, enjoy the infinity pool or explore the surroundings by bike.

You see how the workers climb the trees and specifically find plants, and you can buy fresh spices on site. After that, we continue to Stone Town, a historical port city that was once an important stop on the slave and spice trade routes. While walking we discover famous sights, including the birthplace of Freddie Mercury.

From Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam or Bagamoyo

We say goodbye to Zanzibar, take the ferry back to the mainland and drive to our accommodation. Overnight stay in Dar es Salaam or in Bagamoyo, depending on the schedule.
